“Copy from one, it’s plagiarism, copy from two, it’s research.” Wilson Mizner. That actually is not true. Even if you take chunks of blogs from four or five different sources and publish them as is, it is still plagiarism. Read More »

Plagarism is rampant in todays "copy/paste" internet environment. Technology has made plagarism easy for anyone with a computer. I have Google Alerts set to inform me when anyone uses any articles from my website. Still, I'm at a loss, at times, how to handle the situation when people copy and do not credit, or copy without permission.

In the past, I've had some pornographic and similar websites link to my site, which brings another level of concern.

I can give an example and would like feedback as to how you might handle this situation. Wondering if it is positive exposure and expansion of my site or whether only the user benefits?

My website is http://homeopathyworldcommunity.com it is a NING network composed of professional homeopaths who have written their cases, experience and sharing knowledge about health and medicine.

Then I got a google alert shown below:
http://www.naturalmedicine.com/blogs/homeopathy-world/2010/10/

This appears to be HomeopathyWorldCommunity but it is not.
It is a clip of our blogs with links to selling their products.
I have questioned whether to give them permission to continue linking our articles.
Does HWC receive a benefit in some way, such as more exposure?
Or does the exchange balance not work out for us?
