Burning the Midnight Oil

After the launch of my new business I can't seem to get enough done in a day. There is always a widget to add or a social plugin that I NEED. I spend my days raising my six month old daughter, Emma. It is glorious and awesome....and exhausting. I wouldn't change a thing about it, but this means that I have to maximize my time when she sleeps...which is, thankfully, through the middle of the night. 

I take Emma to a local story and song class every Tuesday. Today is Tuesday. We get up and rush around to get ready. I spend a ridiculous amount of time making sure we are both dressed and accessorized just this side of perfect. We prance into the story room and stake out among other moms with their, well honestly, not so pulled together babies. While I am saying this with a bit of my tongue in my cheek, I am also pretty serious. Present yourself and especially your children as gifts to the world people!The class runs for twenty minutes. While this is a solid chunk of time for a baby, it is not very long to show off your well thought out accessories. Now my tongue is all the way in my cheek.

I guess the point to my musings is that I discovered that I was passionate about always giving my absolute best after my daughter was born. Much attention is drawn to a new mother with a cute baby. This meant that the messy bun and my favorite yoga capris, which my husband very accurately refers to as my "homeless pants" had to go. I also became very interested in Emma ALWAYS having a bow on her head. Not a baby bow, but a big fabulous bow. After I had some trouble finding these fanciful  bows, I decided to create One Fancy Baby....and here I am writing in a blog instead of sleeping. Ahhh, the glamorous life of an entrepreneur.
