REALLY Cool New Toy For Your Video Marketing

As a Small Business & Video Marketing Consultant I found myself in a bit of a dilemma as I have a STRONG desire to NOT be on the receiving end of a video camera. NOT the best place to NOT be for a Video Marketer. Hence my learning how to create engaging and compelling videos with animations that deliver my marketing message (or my …

Video Marketing For Local Business

I am a local business owner so I don't need video. Video is for online businesses not local businesses. I have a website isn't that enough? Not if you want to stay ahead of the competition and increase sales. You local customers are using the web to find businesses. If they want a restaurant to go to, they are not looking in the yellow pages. They are turning to their iphones, laptops and blackberries to search what they are looking for. If you can't be found online, chances are many of your…

Understanding The Benefits And Advantages Of Using Autoresponders

If you've reached the point of exhaustion trying to keep up with answering the mountain of e-mails that threatens to bury you alive every single day, you're ready to learn about autoresponders.

The bad news is that people expect prompt replies to their e-mail inquiries. However, unless you can figure out how to work continual 24-hour shifts, or hire enough people to constantly monitor incoming e-mails (while they're eating up your revenue), you have a problem. The good news is an…

10 Principles To Apply In Building Your Online Business

In the years I've invested myself in dedication to the business of Internet Marketing, I've observed that though technologies and different fields of expertise appear and recede overtime like any other ever-changing business outlook, only timeless, universal principles remain.

The first and foremost characteristic of Internet Marketing is automation. Alex Mandossian once said that "Internet Marketing is meant to train us as lazy workers but high thinkers." We are constantly thinking…

3 Big Reasons Why Online Businesses Fail And Ultimately Disappear

1. Quite often, the entrepreneur has no idea how to market/sell the product without offending anyone. Even though they may be a great inventor, importer, writer, etc., they don't know how to create a benefit-oriented sales message because they are not in touch with their customers.

2. They grossly overestimate the demand and importance of their product in the marketplace. Many people think they have a winner, something everyone in the world needs. Generally, products appealing to…

"A Barking Dog + Water Balloons = Secret To Success"

"A Barking Dog + Water Balloons = Secret To Success"

So I kind of had one of those “out there” moments last night, and I when I woke up this morning I had to tell you about it.

About 2am last night my neighbor’s dog started barking like crazy and jolted me awake. And as I was filling up several water balloons to launch over the fence at him to get revenge for waking me up, I had an epiphany on what it takes to be successful.

**NOTE: I’m totally kidding about the…

One Of Those Days

Today is one of those days..nothing seems good about this new business venture. It's one of those days the experts tell you you have to weather and push through...Hopefully without deleting your website with one click of a mouse.

Who needs bows or baby hats or tutus? What am I doing and where am I going?

I feel like I did when I started training for street races. In the beginning, 15 straight minutes of running was all I could stand. The thought of running several miles in a…

Burning the Midnight Oil

After the launch of my new business I can't seem to get enough done in a day. There is always a widget to add or a social plugin that I NEED. I spend my days raising my six month old daughter, Emma. It is glorious and awesome....and exhausting. I wouldn't change a thing about it, but this means that I have to maximize my time when she sleeps...which is, thankfully, through the middle of the night.

I take Emma to a local story and song class every Tuesday. Today is Tuesday. We get up…

Smart Business Leads to Freedom

Most everyone wants to be able to do a lot of fun things and buy cool stuff, even if they don't admit to it, so as not to sound "worldly". All of us want to be able to spend more time with our family and we want to be able to take vacations with them to cool places, right? Is that being materialistic? Many of us want to be able to buy things that keep us healthy without breaking our bank account, right? That's not "worldly" either. However, most people don't… Continue

Five No-nonsense Guide To Start Your Own Business Enterprise

As a management consultant, I have helped clients set up their own businesses. Over the years I have noticed that the success or failure of a business depends a lot on how it was conceptualized, implemented, and

managed.

The world is littered with the hubris of failed businesses, of shattered dreams, and of hard-earned money going down the drain, all because of lack of business planning and faulty implementation.
