How do I develop my godaddy site for blogging?

Hi Bridget,

What you need to do is install Wordpress, or whatever blogging platform you choose (Drupal, Joomla, etc) onto your server. GoDaddy support should be able to help you with that or supply you with a tutorial on how to do it.
I recommend Wordpress because it's the easiest one to use and there are so many good themes that are free to choose from.

What will you be blogging about?

I like your picture. That was neat. I want a picture on my site but I am still a little afraid.
I have written a few small articles. I have not put them anywhere yet. I would like to generate an income
by blogging using adsense, etc. Have you heard of that? Oh your main question. When I get home, this evening I will try and to install wordpress.

Okay, so I see you have a domain name that has been "parked" for you by Go Daddy. That's good. Have you ever purchased a hosting package from Go Daddy?

I don't know. I was working with a team some months back but dropped it because all I seem to be doing was purchasing things, but did not understand what I was doing.

Presumably one year of domain services, not hosting.

Hi Bridget,

I agree with Eunice. Go with a WordPress blog. You already have a domain so all you need now is hosting. You can do that with GoDaddy or someone else. I prefer HostGator.

Then after you have your domain hosted all you need to do is installing your WordPress blog. Which is very easy to do on your Cpanel. (Control Panel)

I'm sure Larry will be the perfect tudor to help you set it all up.
