Hello, my name is Barbara Vidal, I live in Tallahassee, FL and I am an Avon Independent Sales Representative. Some may not think being an Avon representative constitutes owning your own business. To those people I say "try it some day". I began selling Avon two years ago without any direct sales experience whatsoever and with the help of my District Sales Manager and Avon's training tools, my business is growing. I am here to learn how to market my business and recruit more customers and team members in an attempt to grow my business.
Thank you Barbara for being the first to go. :)
Sounds like I'm next. OK. I'm a musician, leading the Magnolia Jazz Band, bringing fun and elegance to weddings and parties throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. My two marketing objectives are unchanged since we began in 1975 -- first, to stay in touch with friends and colleagues in the local wedding and special event business, and second, to continually meet new ones, as well as new clients. I've always relied mainly on face-to-face meetings, individually and in networking associations, and currently I'm eager to become more skillful and effective with social media.
You have a great website, Robbie. I ran a Website Grader Report on it, and your blog wasn't found, even though you and I both know that it's there. It would be worthwhile to investigate this discrepancy. It's possible to tweak your site here and there, but the main thing that you need right now is lots more visitors.
I am the author of 12 traditionally-published nonfiction books. I specialize in criminal justice, forensic science, and entertaining (yes, it's a motley mix). I e-teach book proposal writing too in online classes, but I am also hoping to become a larger presence as a ghostwriter, helping those folks who have great ideas bring them to the marketplace. And, of course, I am always creating new books myself, have several projects on the calendar, so I hope to increase my readership and fan base so I can continue doing what I love and do best, write.
Good Evening Everyone!!! My Name is Keisha some call me KeKe its my given nickname. I have several jobs, I am a Federal FBI Agent, Substituting is a cover but I do love doing it. I am here to learn more about the important of social media industry can help me network with people in my fields. See I am considering changing careers to move into the Information Technology Industry soon as a Network Administrator. I have not had much luck as to getting interviews, and etc. I plan to become a Preschool Teacher later on down the road, while continuing my education to get three more masters one in programming, web designing, and to become a College Professor. I have an Associates as a Paraprofessional which is part of the reason I work in the school system the same system I went to school in. But overall its just a dead end, I am not that happy doing it because I am still not where I want to be in the teaching field as of yet. I have been an agent for about 16 yrs now.

My Marketing objetives are to be able to find job leads, network with people that love computers, and technology behind the machine. I would love to see more marketing topics on technology worldwide. Any advice for me would be appreciated in advance. P.S. Me, and my fiance Dwyane are expecting twins next month on the 13th. We reside in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Andrea, I met ghostwriter Kerry Zukus through a speaking conference that never happened --but we are online friends and I interviewed him for my blog: http://sharisax.com/2010/05/18/how-to-un-bury-the-book-youve-got-in...
He had lots of cool things to say about ghostwriting, and you might be interested in connecting with him.

NOW, about me: I've been a university marketing/business communication/English professor for 20 years: I found a Brand New Passion 2 years ago with social media and I've become a Blogger who is learning and writing about All Things Social Media -- and I couldn't be more excited.

I offer workshops, one-on-one consulting and will be getting into company social media strategizing and implementation. In addition, I have just discovered and joined BNI, Business Networking International, which is a Face-2-Face version of social media. Both platforms allow me to learn, listen, engage, share, and grow. What a fulfilling way to live!
Shari doesn't know it yet, but I'm going to talk her into teaching part of this course. ;-)
works for me, Larry
:-))
Hope you're going to add a picture to your profile, Shari.
Hi, I am Jim North, live in Englewood, FL, father of 6, grandfather of 10, discovery consultant with a management consultancy, co-founder (with my wife) and builder of 'friends' for a unique non-profit called Seniors for Pets that helps seniors (people) with basic veterinary care for their pets so they do not risk surrender during these tough economic times, and finally a connections facilitator assisting small and medium sized companies to market themselves using technology like social media and blogs. I'm a sponge...I'm trying to listen in on all discussions and trainings where I might garner new viewpoints and information on the rapidly changing tools in the technology.
